Hands & Feet Speed Sketching Workshop, Sep 18th, Sun 11am

If you have been struggling with sketching realistic looking hands and feet and want to improve your gestures, angles and movement then this workshop is for you! Join in and learn to sketch with bold strokes of the pen. I will neither bore you with mathematical proportions or complicated rules, nor will I take you through muscle groups with scary names. Instead I will share with you techniques and exercises that I have found easy to use, that make our hands and feet easy to draw.

This will be a completely do-it-along-with-me workshop, so you have to be ready to get your hands dirty. We will be going through techniques, exercises & draw along examples so make sure you have all the materials ready.

Ages: This workshop is for adults because it will be fast paced but kids above 10 yrs who can keep up with the pace can also register.

About the Instructor: Sai Priya Mahajan is an Indian Contemporary Artist who recently won the Outstanding Watercolor Award at the Boldbrush Contest. An engineering graduate from IIT Bombay, she has now exhibited in India (Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh) as well as internationally (NY, Philadelphia - USA, Toronto-Canada, Taipei-Taiwan) and is part of several Art Associations including the International Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, USA and a lifetime member of the Art Society of India. Sai loves to share the joy of painting by teaching various art forms and has conducted many art workshops in the past.

Rough Schedule

First 5 mins - Introduction

Next 1 hr - Techniques & practice exercises

Next 1 hr - Sketching using pen (watercolors optional)

Last 5 mins - Wrap up and photos

Materials: you have to arrange for this. You will need a pencil, an eraser, a pen for sketching (preferably black color pen and with washproof ink), watercolors, 1 medium size round brush of size between 6-10, 1 small size round brush about size 0-3, watercolor papers or sketchbook papers that is thick (at least 120 gsm) and some basics like tissues, water, some rough papers, hair dryer (optional), and a plate/palette. If you don't have watercolors you can also make do with crayons or pencil colors in which case palette, brushes, water, etc are not required.

Please be ready with all required materials at least 5-10 mins before the start of the session. Register using the participants name, email & phone number, on which whatsapp is functional, this is where all communication will be sent. Please note that all timings are in IST (GMT+5:30hrs).

Late entries are not allowed. Please familiarise yourself with Zoom and its usage so you can join in on time, and have no trouble during the session. Zoom link will be sent to you 10 mins before the start of the session on whatsapp.

Important T&C: Ticket price is per user per session. For example, if two people are attending using one login, please pay for 2 people. This ticket is valid only for the said date and time and cannot be used for other workshops. Videos not included. Non-refundable. Tickets once booked, cannot be cancelled/ rescheduled/refunded.
