Watercolor Florals Workshop, Aug 20th, Sat 2:30pm

Have you ever wondered how artists create beautiful leaves, petals and flowers using single strokes of the brush? Would you like to dabble with paints and create these by yourself? Then this is for you! The best thing about painting florals in a loose style is that it frees you from necessarily painting within boundaries and helps you let go. So come paint florals with me! Join me as I take you through basic brush strokes to create beautiful florals - petals, leaves, flowers & floral compositions.

Usually used with watercolors, this technique can be used with watercolors, acrylics or poster colors. We will first be practising basics of watercolor, followed by learning strokes required for this technique, and finally creating a beautiful floral composition. This is a beginner friendly session. You don't need to have painted before. Just a love for colors and an eagerness to learn and have fun is enough for this.

Ages: Workshop is for adults but kids 10 and above who are keen can also join.

About the Instructor: Sai Priya Mahajan is an Indian Contemporary Artist who recently won the Outstanding Watercolor Award at the Boldbrush Contest. An engineering graduate from IIT Bombay, she has now exhibited in India (Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh) as well as internationally (NY, Philadelphia - USA, Toronto-Canada, Taipei-Taiwan) and is part of several Art Associations including the International Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, USA and a lifetime member of the Art Society of India. Sai loves to share the joy of painting by teaching various art forms and has conducted many art workshops in the past.

Material: you have to arrange for this on your own. You will need watercolors or acrylics or poster colors, watercolor paper about 200+gsm or thick paper, 2 round brushes about size 3 and size 7, and some basics like tissues, water, a plate/palette and a few rough sheets. For best results, is preferable to use thick watercolor paper about 200+gsm and artist grade colors, either watercolors or acrylics. Paper for final painting should be about A4/A5 - that is 6X9 or 9X12 inches in size but you can practice on a size of your choice.

Please be ready with all required materials at least 5-10 mins before the start of the session.

To simplify communication, please register using the participants name and phone number (on which whatsapp is functional). Please note the all timings are in IST (which is GMT+5:30hrs).

Late entries are not allowed. Please familiarise yourself with Zoom and its usage so you can join in on time, and have no trouble during the session. We will be sending you a link 10 mins before the start of the session, on whatsapp, on the number you provided during registration. You can join in to the session through that Zoom link.

Important T&C: The ticket price is per user per session. For example, if two people are attending using one login, please pay for 2 people. Participant has to keep their video on during the session. This ticket is valid only for the said date and time and cannot be used for other workshops. Video recording of workshop is not included. Non-refundable. Tickets once booked, cannot be cancelled/ rescheduled/refunded.
